
Whitney Louderback, is originally from Colorado, USA.
Whitney received a Bachelor of Arts in International Relations from The College of Wooster in Ohio, USA in May 2009. She graduated with Honours and was inducted into Pi Sigma Alpha, the American Political Science Honour Society. Whitney wrote her senior thesis on the implementation of negotiated settlements after intrastate wars, which she presented at the 2009 Midwest Political Science Association Annual Conference. She received the College of Wooster Robert James Brown Memorial Peace Prize, for the student who has been most effective in promoting peace and human understanding. In addition, she received the Peter H. Gore Prize and the Gordon L. Shull Prize, for the top student in international relations and the top senior in international relations, respectively.
Whitney is pursuing an MA in Comparative Ethnic Conflict at Queen’s University Belfast School of Politics, International Studies, and Philosophy. Her dissertation expands upon the work of her undergraduate thesis, investigating the role of implementation in peace processes. She will be receiving mediation training in early 2011.
Whitney has been an intern at Mediation Northern Ireland since January 2010. She is currently working on administration for two programmes in the NE Peace III Partnership, one delivering reconciliation skills training to the Partnership Programmes, and on Programme 4bi and 4bii for Community and Ethnic Minority Capacity Building. She also assists on three projects in Down, including the Social Partnership Programme.
