Leadership in a Shared Society – Community Leaders Programme

The Leadership in a Shared Society – Community Leaders Programme is an initiative of the North East PEACE Partnership (encompassing the Council
areas of Coleraine, Limavady,Moyle, Ballymoney, Ballymena and Larne) and is funded under the Peace III Programme.
The aim of the programme is to deliver an accredited programme of learning to existing and emerging community leaders in this area to improve their skills in building trust,
tolerance and understanding of difference and to build collaborative approaches to the development and maintenance of good relations.
The consortium delivering the programme consists of three delivery organisations: Workers’ Educational Association, the Interaction Institute and Mediation Northern Ireland.

2009 MII Annual Conference

Belfast Mediation Capacity Building Programme

Mediation Northern Ireland in partnership with the North & West Belfast Parades & Cultural Forum Belfast Interface Project, Belfast Reconciliation Network and Tides Training have been asked by Belfast City Council to deliver a Local Mediation Capacity Building Process within the Belfast Peace and Reconciliation Action Plan.
The project which commenced in September shall include mediation & other conflict management training & local case development across the City. The intended outcome of the project is to contribute to the building of positive relations within the City through the transformation of contested space.
